Is ther anything he can do?

Legally there is nothing he can do as long as his name was not on the title of the car traded. Why is he so upset? Perhaps the car traded was a family vehicle and had sentimental value to him. Try talking to him and not being (for lack of a better term) a know it all kid. He's upset for a reason.
