Today's music? What's up with that?
I'm 16 and just kind of pondered this thought. What's up with today's music? I mean, there's stuff like rap and hip-hop that (somehow) affect all the kids in my high school. They make words up to rhyme with other made up words. And then people actually start USING those words. Like how kids say "I seen that movie" or remove the "er" and replace it with an "a". Pisses the living **** out of me. It's like rap/hip-hop attract the stupid kids. How about pop music? Personally I can't stand it. I mean sure, singers like Kelly Clarkson I'll give a little credit to as I'm a fan of music but the Jonas Brothers? They're a boy band that can play basic guitar chords. So what. We all know boy bands (aka Backstreet, Nsync) don't even last long. They won't affect music history like the 80's did. I obviously didn't live in the era but that music is still around. I love groups from ABBA to Metallica. Bands like these were the very essence of music. Everything today from music to movies is just copied or stolen from that time period. I know this was long but it makes me mad nobody can rely on their own imagination nowadays. Comments, complaints, lemme hear em.
