My question is regarding the Hersey's chocolate cake recipie?

I am dying to try the Hershey's chocolate cake recipe, reading the great comments on the net. Well, but my prolem is the cup measures. the recipe says: 2 cups sugar, 1 3/4 cup flour 3/4 cups herseys chocolate, 1cup milk, 1/2 cup oil, ..... My question is, a cup measure is 250gms. Do I measure 250 gms of flour, sugar etc or do I have to actally measure the quantity of flour according to its density, what I have aso read on the net. Its confusing...can someone help! thanks
