Are the Disney Kids of the 2000s the equivelant to the Brat Pack of the 80s?

Does anyone else think the Disney kids of todays generation (demi lovato, selena gomez, zac efron, miley, the cole twins etc) are the equivalent to the brat pack from the 1980s? Obviously the brat pack are more talented. However they sort of play the same role in the media. Does anyone else see parallels?
