Does comcast support Linux/Ubuntu?

My windows partition caught the swine flu, now my usb ports don't work. They only seem to work with Ubuntu. I've reformatted it, re-installed, still unresponsive. I need internet to download bios update, I think this might work. Will comcast be able to hook it up with Ubuntu? They're coming this morning, I didn't ask them.
