Which came first, Christianity or Catholicism?

Catholicism is Christianity. Christ established his Church upon the pillars of the 12 Apostles. The Bishops of the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church are the successors of the Apostles. Note that Protestantism didn't evolve until the 16th century, and that there are no Protestant Bishops that are successors to the Apostles, but Protestants are still Christians.
