Ad Aware reboots comp, all programs are not responding.?

Ok, this is kind of long..when I start up my comp and close down AIM and MSN which automatically start up I'll try to run Ad Aware the screen goes kind of into a windows 98 mode for a second and then reboots, also if I try to run any program besides Ad Aware the program just stops and says program not responding, end now, or cancel. I really need some help with this, I've tried safe mode and a long list of things come up like system.sys just an example stuff like that-programs and drives, and then it will just stop there. I tried booting the computer in Drive recovery mode which says that it's booting in safe mode and even in there I can't run Ad Aware without the computer rebooting, I've also tried to system restore in the regular windows and it says cannot be completed, I tried it in safe mode and it said cannot be completed I can't access the internet to download any virus software you might suggest, it just gives the message not responding. I know this was long any help is app.
